Dr. Joseph F. Buell is a Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics, serving as the Director of the Tulane Transplant Abdominal Institute at both Tulane University and LSU. He earned his PhD in Medicine and Dentistry from the University of Rochester in 1991. Throughout his career, Dr. Buell has received more than ten awards in General Surgery. He practices at 130 Lakeview Circle, Covington, and is affiliated with Tulane Medical Center, among other hospitals. His clinical expertise includes drug and medical device development, clinical immunology, and stem cell technology. Dr. Buell completed his internship at the University of Maryland Medical System, followed by fellowships in surgical oncology at the NIH and multi-organ transplant surgery at the University of Chicago. His achievements include receiving the Eagle Scout Award in 1982, being named to the Dean's Academic List, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University, and earning membership in Alpha Sigma Nu. Dr. Buell has published over 179 research papers and delivered more than 525 presentations at international conferences.

Dr. Erind Ruka is an Italian-Albanian plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon. He completed his surgical training at the University of Turin in Italy and has since gained experience in several European countries, working in various plastic surgery departments. His specialized areas include facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, wound healing, and regenerative medicine. Dr. Ruka has written and co-written numerous articles published in national and international scientific journals and is also a reviewer for several plastic surgery-related publications.

Dr. Aaron Tan is a researcher at University College London (UCL) Medical School and a visiting scholar at the Biomaterials and Advanced Drug Delivery Laboratory (BioADD) at Stanford University. Dr. Tan is currently pursuing the clinical years of his MBBS Medicine degree at UCL Medical School. Throughout his career, he has held research positions at prestigious institutions, including Harvard University, the University of Oxford, and Imperial College London. Dr. Tan has authored more than 40 publications in PubMed-indexed journals, with articles appearing in top-tier journals such as ACS Nano, Trends in Biotechnology, and Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews. He has accumulated 1090 citations and holds an h-index of 16. Additionally, Dr. Tan serves as a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Pharmacology and Nano Reviews and Experiments. His research is centered on the applications of nanotechnology and regenerative therapeutics in clinical medicine and surgery.

Since taking on the role of project leader for Organ Modeling at the Department of Biotechnology, Technische Universität Berlin in 2006, Gerd Lindner has co-founded two biotechnology companies: Tissues GmbH in 2010 and provio GmbH in 2014, where he currently serves as CEO. Dr. Lindner holds a degree in biochemistry and specializes in hair disorders and stem cell science related to the skin and other organs. Recently, he successfully developed a fully in vitro human hair follicle equivalent for substance testing and integration into skin models. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on hair and skin biology, serves on the editorial boards of several scientific journals, and is an active member of various prestigious scientific societies.

Dr. Kayvan Fathimani is an esteemed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with quadruple board certification. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada, and holds fellowships with both the International Board of Certification of Specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Fathimani is a Level 1 Trauma Surgeon and Faculty Instructor at Lincoln Medical Center, as well as an Attending Surgeon and Faculty Instructor at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Specializing in Maxillofacial Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Fathimani is recognized for his proficiency in handling complex facial injuries and surgeries. He operates a private practice in New York City and is actively involved in post-graduate training and clinical research. His areas of expertise include Facial Trauma, Corrective Jaw Surgery, Wisdom Teeth Removal, Dental Implants, General Anesthesia, Temporomandibular Joint Surgery, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Oral Pathology, and Cleft Lip and Palate Repair.

Hui-Jiuan Chen obtained her B.S. in Clinical Medicine from Fujian Medical University in China in 2006. She went on to earn an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Material Science, both from Queen Mary University of London in the UK, completing her master's in 2009 and her doctoral studies in 2013. From 2014 to 2017, she held the position of Associate Research Fellow at the SYSU-CUM Shunde International Joint Research Institute. Since 2017, Dr. Chen has been an Associate Research Fellow at Sun Yat-Sen University in China. With over 20 published articles, her research primarily investigates the application of nanoparticles in biomedical sciences. She focuses on the development and application of nanomaterials, smart microneedle arrays, minimal and non-invasive therapies, various forms of thermal treatment, and wearable bioelectronics.

Applying nanoparticles in the biomedical direction, covering a wide spectrum of nanotechnology, medicine and engineering science, centered on preparations and applications of nanomaterials, such as, design and engineering smart microneedle array，minimal/non-invasive treatment, various thermal therapies and wearable biodevices.

Rahena Akhter began her academic career at Charles Sturt University's School of Dentistry and Health Sciences in 2012, where she currently teaches and conducts research. She coordinates various dental courses, including "Dental Clinical Practice 2A and 2B (Periodontology and Simple Restorative Dentistry)," and serves as the Year Coordinator for second-year dental students. Additionally, she has held the position of honorary lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Sydney, since 2012. Dr. Akhter has been fully registered as a dental practitioner with APHRA in New South Wales since 2013. She specializes in orofacial pain, having completed her training at The University of Sydney's Faculty of Dentistry. In 2014, she founded a pain clinic at CSU Orange, which focuses on clinical research addressing the needs of rural and regional patients. She holds the FRACDS (pril.) qualification from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Furthermore, Dr. Akhter was awarded the prestigious Japan Government Monbusho PhD Scholarship and completed her PhD at Hokkaido University, Japan.

Ehab Abdel Aziz Ahmed EL-Shaarawy is a Professor of Anatomy and Embryology at Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. He earned his M.B.B.Ch. in General Medicine and Surgery from Kasr Alainy Medical School, Cairo University, along with a Master's and MD in Anatomy and Embryology from the same institution. He also holds a B.Ch. in Anatomy and Physiology. Dr. EL-Shaarawy has written numerous scientific papers, published in both national and international journals. His practical expertise includes a wide range of diagnostic methods in radiographic and endoscopic anatomy, as well as experimental embryology, with a special emphasis on ocular research. He has organized and participated in numerous workshops and training courses focused on Human Histology, Anatomy, and Developmental Biology. He has also contributed to national conferences on Anatomy, Molecular Biology, and Electron Microscopy. Dr. EL-Shaarawy is an active member of various scientific and medical organizations, supervises several MD and Master’s theses, and serves as a reviewer for multiple scientific journals.
